The lead single from Blue Sky Night Thunder, it reached No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Adult Contemporary chart. Wildfire's cultural impact endures, frequently appearing on classic radio and in country compilations.
The worldwide success of “Wildfire" and his 4th album “Blue Sky Night Thunder” led Michael Martin Murphey on a journey as a singer-songwriter through multiple genres of music- pop, country, western, bluegrass, folk and jazz.
