Arts Memphis

ArtsMemphis is a beacon for our city’s arts community, awarding $2.5 million to art makers in 2019.

When they’re not hard at work crafting grant applications, mentoring artists, or stewarding donors, the staff at ArtsMemphis can be found at Playhouse on the Square for an opening night, the Metal Museum for a molding class, or the Levitt Shell for a summer concert. CEO Elizabeth Rouse and her team of 6 not only love our city, but they love the artists who bring it to life. Their vision is for every individual to feel pride in our city’s authentic cultural assets and experience the impact of the arts in their lives. The Orpheum Theatre Group is one of over 70 local organizations to benefit from ArtsMemphis’ grants program, through which 164 grants were awarded last year. Memphis is the city it is because of ArtsMemphis and their generous donors, who ensure that the arts will continue to thrive in the bluff city.
