Discover your next favorite artist at the Memphis Songwriters Series, hosted by Memphis’ songwriter Mark Edgar Stuart.

Mark and his musical guests take audiences on a journey behind the music, sharing personal stories and introducing exciting new works in the casual, cozy setting of the Halloran Centre Lounge.

This innovative, immersive experience lifts the veil on Memphis’ longstanding songwriting tradition for music fans of all genres to enjoy.

Each Songwriter Series performance features three of Memphis’ own seasoned musicians. The series culminates on April 23, 2020 with the Memphis Songwriter Association’s Songwriter Showdown, their annual competition finale.

Host Mark Edgar Stuart has toured with Grammy winner Alvin Youngblood Hart, Jack Oblivian, John Paul Keith and was the go-to bass player for an elite group of record producers and artists. In 2010, he put down his bass, picked up a guitar and started writing songs. His debut CD, Blues for Lou, earned him “Record Of The Year” by the Memphis Flyer.
