Using active games and creative exercises, students in grades 6-12 will learn the principles of dramatic writing through a unique improvisational lens.
Students will be divided into groups of 20-25 students to join local teaching artists in the Halloran Centre for a three-hour workshop. Starting with improv games and exercises, students will build their confidence in storytelling before tackling their own short plays and monologues.
The Writing Comes Alive field trip builds students’ confidence and develops creative writing skills for students of all levels and abilities.
