Master Classes
Throughout the year, visiting performers offer Mid-South students the opportunity to participate in special one-time seminars. These classes may include: Alexander/ Stanislavski theories of acting, Spolin, warm-up exercises, make-up techniques, or other specialties. The classes provide an opportunity for local students to gain specific knowledge from theatre practitioners.

Page to Stage Workshop
Occasionally the Orpheum selects one Broadway show for a high school workshop. The class journeys from original manuscript to the Musical Theatre Production. Through interactive, curriculum based activities, this group meets over the course of two weeks to discuss the original work, songwriting and production design. Students also attend the Broadway performance at the Orpheum Theatre.
